PORTLAND, Ore., Oct. 6, 2026— In recognition of World Menopause Month, WebMD Health Services and MiDOViA are expanding their ongoing collaboration to help organizations create more supportive, menopause-friendly workplaces where women can thrive—every day of the year.

Women in midlife are one of the fastest-growing segments of the workforce, making menopause support both a people priority and a business imperative. Menopause can affect employee well-being, productivity, engagement, and the overall employee experience, while a lack of workplace support can contribute to experienced women reducing their hours, changing roles or leaving the workforce altogether.

According to a WebMD Health Services study on menopause in the workplace, 90% of women never asked their employer for support, not because they didn’t need it, but because the culture didn’t make it feel safe to do so. Additionally, nearly 30% of women have considered leaving or changing jobs due to menopause.

“Women deserve to have the support they need to be healthy and successful throughout every stage of their lives, including menopause,” said Christine Muldoon, Senior Vice President of Marketing and Strategy at WebMD Health Services. “Our collaboration with MiDOViA allows us to bring more menopause expertise, resources and support to our clients and their employees. By equipping our health coaches with specialized knowledge, we're helping organizations address an important—and often overlooked—part of women's health that can have a meaningful impact on well-being, productivity, engagement and the employee experience.”

Together, WebMD Health Services and MiDOViA are helping organizations better understand how menopause impacts company culture and employee well-being, while providing practical resources to help employers drive meaningful change.

Through expert-led education, manager training, HR resources, practical workplace tools, and their menopause friendly membership and accreditation, MiDOViA empowers organizations to move beyond awareness and take meaningful action to create a menopause friendly culture. Today, all WebMD Health Services health coaches are trained in providing menopause support. They also provide a series of menopause-specific digital group coaching classes, webinars and additional educational resources.

“A major pattern we see across organizations is that menopause support too often lives in one silo. A digital platform. A single webinar. An EAP benefit nobody uses. And then leaders wonder why employees still don’t feel supported,” said April Haberman, CEO and Co-Founder of MiDOViA. “The reason is that you can have resources on the books, but if the culture doesn’t signal that it’s safe to use them, they’re invisible. Ninety percent of women proved that point. A truly menopause-friendly organization pulls five levers together.”

For employers, creating a menopause-friendly workplace can include normalizing conversations about menopause, training managers and HR leaders, establishing workplace champion networks, offering flexible work arrangements and making appropriate environmental accommodations. These strategies can help organizations retain experienced talent while fostering a more engaged, productive and inclusive workforce.

The expanded collaboration reflects a shared commitment to making menopause a more visible and supported part of workplace well-being—not just during World Menopause Month, but throughout the year. “World Menopause Month gives us an important opportunity to start and advance the conversation, but women need support long after October,” said Muldoon. “Let's build workplaces where women can thrive, every day of the year.”
