Overview: Yuvezzi is an eye drop medicine used to treat a decline in near vision. It helps your eyes focus on things that are right in front of you. Common side effects include temporary eye discomfort, headache, blurry vision, or trouble seeing in the dark. Do not drive, especially at night, until you know how this medicine affects you. Seek medical care right away if you have sudden vision loss, floaters, or see flashes of light.

Uses

What is Yuvezzi used for?

Yuvezzi (carbachol/brimonidine) is commonly used to treat a decline in near vision called presbyopia. It happens when your eyes become less able to focus on nearby objects.

Learn more about Managing Presbyopia With Yuvezzi.

Yuvezzi may also be used for other conditions as determined by your health care provider.

How does Yuvezzi work (mechanism of action)?

Yuvezzi contains two ingredients: carbachol and brimonidine. They work together to control certain muscles in the eye to make the pupil smaller. This helps your eyes focus on close-up objects more clearly.

How is Yuvezzi supplied (dosage forms)?

Yuvezzi is available in single-use vials of 2.75%/0.1% ophthalmic solution (eye drop).

How should I store Yuvezzi?

Yuvezzi should be stored at room temperature or in the refrigerator, between 36 F and 77 F (2 C and 25 C). Yuvezzi comes in single-use vials wrapped in foil. After you open the foil pouch, keep the vials in the pouch to protect them from light until you are ready to use them. Each Yuvezzi vial is for one use only and should be thrown away after using it.
