I normally have blood pressure readings that ranges from 200+ over 110+ and. Dropping to 80'sover40's. Since taking Delzacol my bp have been in the 90's over 50's but never over 115 over 80. Not sure what is going on but chronic dirareria seems better and bp is steady even though low..

I tried 3 doses as samples to replace Pentasa (which gave me headaches) and they were ok. But the day after I paid $60 for a prescription of Apriso (no coupons available) I started a "acute intolerance syndrome" - cramping, headache, stomach pain and bloody diarrhea. Stopped the Apriso and all symptoms stopped except the blood. That took 6 weeks on prednisone to stop completely. I'm glad it works for some folks, but for me it was intolerable.

Made my symptoms worse. I had severe cramping to the point where I couldn`t move. Previously (on no drugs) have had solid BM`s, on Mesalamine, there was only liquid BM`s.

Asacol works for me and has helped me stay in remission for years. The only concern is that I have 2 nodules on my liver, as well as a fatty liver since, I started taking the drug.

Once Asacol (with which I had zero issues) went off the market, I went on this, which coincided with my 2013 annual colonoscopy. I never quite recovered from the combo, having bloody stool that a couple suppositories could never quite get rid of. I had my 2014 annual colonoscopy in May and am doing even worse now: more blood, abdominal pain, and diarrhea. I'm on the highest dose of Delzicol and my doctor was already talking about changing my medication prior to the colonoscopy. He wanted a three... month review after it, but I had to move that date up given my new issues. Not a fan. Read More Read Less

Has any one else having a reaction after you have been in the sun for awhile? I had been on Asacol for 20 yrs and I thought one of the side effect with a reaction to sun but I don't see that side effect on this drug. I still feel crappy the day after being in the sun. any one else?

This medication sent me backwards after doing great for a month on Entocort. My spasms & pain were back & Dr. said to quit it. I only took it for a month.

I started taking Apriso several years ago (4 or 5?). I have had a couple minor flare-ups, all when I waited too long to visit the doctor after a prescription ran out. Once I got a new prescription and started taking it again - all better! Overall I would say this has made a GREAT improvement in my life. I take 4 pills in the AM, which is so much easier than having to take Asacol all day long.

I was diagnosed with Chrones Disease at age 22. I am now 38 and noticed severe changes in my colon health in the last 3 years. Stress is the BIGGEST trigger!! After taking ASacol for many years my Dr. suggested Lialda. It has worked better than Asacol ever did. I have normal BM every day. No more blood. No more pain. I'm back to work and feeling better than ever.

Pentasa has given me my life back! I am able to shop, travel, dine out, & go about other normal ADL's without having to hunt for a restroom as soon as I enter a store or a restaurant. I take 8-500 mg capsules a day. Received a letter from my prescription plan co. 2 days ago stating they will no longer pay any part of the cost of Pentasa (or other inflammatory bowel disease drugs). I cannot afford to pay for it myself, & don't know what to do. Now that I have experienced life free from pain/worr... y (most of the time), I cannot go back to the miserable life of Crohn's before Pentasa. If anyone has a suggestion as to what I can do to get Crohn's meds again, please share. Thank you. Read More Read Less

I have been on Apriso for 8 months. The only issue I am having is joint pain. Usually in the morning after being in bed all night. Hips and shoulder blades are very sore. No hair loss. Other symptoms are gone. It's wonderful.

I have heard Asacol has stopped being manufactured. Is this true and if it is, is there a generic cheaper product that I can use? It is my lifeline and don't think I can go for long without this or a product similar to Asacol.

I had tried Asacol and Colazol and neither of those worked for me at all. My doctor put me on Lialda 2 pills a day about 6 years ago and I was better within 2 months. In those 6 years I have only had one minor flare and feel better now than I ever have since being diagnosed with UC.
