USING ASACOL FOR 15 YEARS. TEND TO FLUCTUATE DAILY DOSAGE WITHOUT DR'S AUTHORITY DUE TO COST. DEFINITELY REDUCES SYMPTOMATIC ISSUES WHEN TAKEN REGULARLY. HAVE SURVIVED 2 RESECTIONS THUS FAR 1993-2003

I have been taking pentasa since June 2007, when I was diagnosed. I have a hard time taking it twice a day 4,000mg. a day, went down to 2,000mg, doing fine. This is an important medicine.

I switched to Lialda during a sever flare-up & they have been great! I started taking 4 per day due to the severity of my condition, which was nothing compaired to the 12 Acacol I was taking before, I am now down to 2 a day and have not had any problems since.

On a 3 pills, 3x per day regime, and wondering if I could go down to two, as never had severe symptoms. The afternoon dose is a nuisance to remember.

I have been taking for almost 3 years with no flare ups. Works great but is very expensive to use 240 pills a month.

I have had ulcerative colitis for 15 years and this is the only treatment that has worked for me. When i take it regularly I have no symptoms (no bleeding, no bloating, no constipation). for me it works.

I was diagnosed with microscopic colitis and this medication has done very little for me. It is difficult to remember to take 3 times a day. Even when it is taken as directed it has little or no effect. Upsets my stomach when I take it.

Has put me in remission for 3 years, even to the point where i can play field hockey for my college team. Only downside i take 12 of them a day. Talk about Lialda, same drug, larder doeses in each pill; i'll take 4 once a day rather then 4, 3 times a day.

Very expensive mediciation, it does work well, its just so many pills a day and it will be along road to recovery.
