She has a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in microbiology and a Master of Science (MSc) degree in microbiology from the University of Calcutta in Kolkata, India. She has written about health conditions, medical news, and research breakthroughs for such publications as Infection Control Today, MSN, CNET, Elsevier, Medscape, and others. Apart from science, her hobbies include reading and painting.
